Great Book on Feng Shui

Beautiful book and wonderful and full information on the subject! However, the bad part is that the wording or lettering is so small it is very difficult to read. I will have to get a pair of magnifying glasses in order to read it in a relaxing way. Other than that, it's a very informative book.

A Through Examination of Feng Shui

Ms. Hale has studied with some of the world’s leading teachers in the art of Feng Shui. She is a lecturer and consultant and trained in Garden Design and is considered an expert on Feng Shui in the garden. This was an exceptionally through examination of Feng Shui organized in a simplified format that is easily digested by a beginning practitioner. It utilizes many colorful photographic images to demonstrate the various concepts presented.
It is particularly heavy on the aspects of Feng Shui in the garden, true to Ms. Hale’s passion and education. However it may get tedious for a person without a garden or someone not interested in that particular hobby.
In regards to an explanation of the five elements of the Chinese tradition, it is very elaborate and straight forward. Though her suggestion to buy a protractor in order to accurate map out your floor plan to exact compass points on the feng shui bagua may seem daunting to a beginner looking to understand and implement some Feng Shui elements into their home or office.

Covers many areas of Feng Shui

This is a good book to get started into Feng Shui with. It contains many ideas, pictures, diagrams and suggestions to solve many basic feng shui problems. However, it didn't seem to address enough in some areas. For instance, my home faces south, yet almost every diagram for arrangment of garden features is for a north facing home, I'm left not really knowing what to do with my yard, how do I handle feng shui principles for my south facing property? Additionally, ideal gardens and homes are lavish, expensive things, and there isn't much for someone on a more limited budget to do with thier yard.
Many charts for figuring interactions between people, directions, ideal arrangements are also given, but again, little information to fix whatever may already exist.
The book itself is easy to go through to get ideas from the many beautiful pictures, but the print is rather small for a typical hardback book. Even with perfect vision, I had to hold the book too close and strain too much to read it. Overall a good start, somewhat overwhelming with so much information at once, and it left me feeling like I needed to consult an expert in Feng Shui for the next step.

This is barely a small pamphlet. The author just seems to come up with a desirable title, write a few pages, and put it out there. Here's the whole "book": Just accept your spouse because she/he isn't going to change. There is NO content that delivers on the title. The author probably makes some good money by pumping out these few pages, but you're not going to learn much from this one.

Although everything is written in Japanese (I can make out several words, however), this is a guidebook every Diabolik Lovers fan should have. There's amazing character designs, details of said characters and interviews with the cast to boot!!

the only bad thing is that i can't read JP at all so sadly i can't understand all the good info that is inside that book about the world of DL :-(

Patricia King's book on the Bride of Christ brought me to a higher level of understanding of this timely subject. But more than that, I was deeply moved to discover how intensely the Lord loves me and each of us personally. Her insights of Hebrew wedding traditions gave me a new comprehension of things Jesus said to His disciples and to us, like the statement "I go to prepare a place for you...." Now I see how a man can be the Bride of Christ and what to do to better prepare for His soon return. This is a life-changing read.

Only gave it four stars because I was surprised at how thin it was, more like a booklet than a book. Overpriced for being such a small book.

Matthew H. Bruce, Emeritus Professor of Science Education, Temple University. Professor Bruce holds the Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University. Following military service in the Korean War, he taught schools and at the university level for over forty-five years, teaching physics and math and serving as a district coordinator for science and mathematics. He spent much of his time working with intending teachers, including over twenty- five years as a faculty member in Temple University s Intern Teaching Program for College Graduates. He conducted research and has written extensively about this aspect of teacher preparation. He has participated in the obtaining and operation of numerous grant-supported programs aimed at the improvement of teacher education, serving as Principal Investigator and in other roles, and has also participated in teacher education endeavors in Europe and Asia. He also served as a consultant to many educational and governmental agencies, ranging from State Education Departments to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia to the U.S. Department of Defense. He prefers thinking of himself as a teacher whose academic background is in science rather than as a scientist who also teaches.

H. Bernard Miller, Emeritus Director of the Intern Teaching Program for College Graduates, Temple University. Following WWII military service with the Third Infantry Division, Professor Miller completed the teacher education program at Temple University. He taught in a Philadelphia inner city school where he became department chair. Among his duties he worked with newly appointed teachers. He was subsequently invited to join the faculty of Temple University s Intern Teaching Program. He became Director of this award-winning program, serving for more than twenty years. Under his leadership the program became widely known, participating in the Peace Corps Returnee Teacher Program, and receiving a number of State and U.S. Office of Education OERI Teacher Mid-Career Training Grants providing for business, industry and military personnel to enter secondary teaching in urban areas. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania awarded Dr. Miller its first Certificate of Recognition in appreciation for his contributions to The Pennsylvania Teacher Intern Program. He holds his Doctorate from Temple University.
